The InspireMum™ Pre-Natal Fitball class is a wonderful addition to your exercise program during pregnancy. The gentle yet firm support of the ball helps to relieve back pain that is prevalent in pregnancy and a great tool to exercise the pelvic muscles and stimulate the spinal fluid. The key benefits are felt as you balance yourself while sitting on the ball for upper and lower body exercises. The balancing movement increases the intensity of your exercise which in turn helps to strengthen and stretch your muscles. Combining Fitball with Pilates helps to increase your strength, flexibility and endurance as your pregnancy progresses.
Pregnant women are recommended to consult their doctor before starting on these exercises. Generally, using fitball increases the intensity of the exercise as it uses our core muscles all the time in maintaining our balance on the ball.
