The asanas (exercise or movements) can be personalized to cater to individual needs, especially as the pregnancy progresses. No yoga experience is necessary. We focus on building strength in the spine. With a regular practice, you will gain strength and flexibility, a greater appreciation of the joys of these initial stages of motherhood, while learning to trust yourself and the innate power of your body. The classes encourage bonding with your unborn baby, plus an increased awareness of the effects of your physical movements on the baby. InspireMum™ Pre-natal yoga classes include a series of properly sequenced yoga asanas, incorporation of voice sound, pranayama practice and end with a relaxation session to integrate the effects of the practice.
