Yin / Nidra Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style where floor postures are held passively for longer periods of time, usually three to five minutes per pose. The long-held postures create space in the joints and nourish connective tissues while deeply opening the hips, pelvis and spine.

Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, energetically, it opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional balance.

Yin Yoga was founded by martial arts expert and Taoist Yoga teacher Paulie Zink, finding its way around the globe encouraged by the Yin Yoga teachers and developers Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.
